Good Morning Good Evening Havin a Cup of Joe. Welcome to the Chit Chat Coffee Shoppe. Glad to see you here, and that you could stop by for a visit too. 

I have to know...how is the weather where you are? Here, it has been cold, and yes it is winter time now. No snow yet...hoping that holds off for a while, but cold it has been. We have had some really nice sunny days, and thankful for that. It helps with the contractors that started on the house the week of Thanksgiving. 

They showed up on Monday, and started by taking the siding off the house and the garage, put a smaller window in an upstairs room that will be converted to a bathroom soon, closed off a door in our bedroom...there is no porch to step out onto, at the last minute decided to cut a whole in living room wall and added 2 new windows there, have the frame work for a porch on the front of the house, put a new door at the entrance to the house and a porch will also go there, and a new entrance door was added to the garage as well. Whew! 

Got wood in the yard to put up on the house, got the rolls of insulated plastic waiting to go on the house, and finally the siding can go on. But....with it being sooo cold at night would sure be great to have that insulation put on the exterior of the house...like yesterday. Know what I mean?:) Hopefully tomorrow they can maybe start. It's been a bit drafty in here at times. For now windows will get caulked, and then this spring some new windows are being considered too.

Whew! Where did this month go? Really has gone by, hasn't it? Holidays can be like that. Sometimes I complain because I don't get done all I want to, but yet it is good as there is time spent with family, and friends during these special times. 

I hope that everyone has some where they can go, some where they can be, someone they can share with, and pray that no one has to be alone on this day of celebration. I wish you all well, enjoy, have fun, and please be safe too! HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL!!

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend, and excellent time with trick-or-treating too. I would soooo loved to have done some things I had planned on this past weekend, but have been home sick. Yeah, over a week now, and still cannot quit this darn coughing yet. I so had some big plans for a "Girls Weekend" this first weekend of November with some friends, and yesterday I finally had to break down and inform them I would not be able to make it. Was very disappointed as it would have been a blast to go! Friends coming together in a different area, spending a couple of nights of doing nothing, thrifting, shopping, fleaing, and whatever we could find to do, and just have some good old fun! I will be thinking of them, and wishing them well as they journey out. Hopefully we can plan this again for us to have fun....spring? maybe? 

Yeah, getting cold here, leaves falling, NO snow but sometime it will happen, furnaces running, and that time of year when a person hybernates. Now.....if I lived down south I could at least do a little bit more as I would not have the snow to fight with. But, gotta do what you can for where you are, right?

Well, folks, time to take some meds. I held off a bit today so I could get on this wonderful computer, and get a few things done. Starting to get tired, and coughing....I think I grew another lung some where with all of the coughing. Still sitting up to sleep, but if I can start sleeping normally that way...without waking up coughing....I hopefully can lie down soon:)

Good Morning Fellow Bloggers and Chit Chatters

Hello, and Welcome to Chit Chat Coffee Shoppe with LilacsNDreams!:) Glad to see you here, and happy you could stop by. Whew! Isn't that the truth! I would like mornings better if they would start later myself too. It has gotten cooler here over the weekend, 1 morning I turned the heat on for just a few hours to get the cool out of the house, and you know. When it gets like this out with the leaves following, cooler weather, football games, and all of that.....when it comes morning I would just like to stay in bed, and curl with my blanket. Or, sit in the chair with that good old hot cup in my hand, blanket thrown over my feet, and kicked up reclining. 

Not a whole lot going on this way right now. Just working on getting cars winterized....mechanics like me now:) And, getting the house prepared for it too. Days are shortening a bit, and seem to tire a bit more lately too. Gotta love it, right? Hope all are well with where you are. Welcome Back to Chit Chat Coffee Shoppe

Good Morning, and Welcome back to Chit Chat Coffee Shoppe everyone! Glad to see you here, and happy that you could stop by. 

I don't know about ya'll, but this picture above sure hit the spot for me the past few days, actually for the month! I am always slow to get started in the morning, and then by the time I do really get moving, and motivated....most of the day seems to have disappeared! Ever have that happen yourself? How frustrating sometimes, isn't it? 

Well, I am finally back to having a little bit of Me time now. This past 1-2 months has been soooo hectic! Daughter moves to TX, I helped her husband out a bit while he finished things here before she came back to get him....they both have jobs down there too (whew). Then, son signing up, and joining the army....some of the paper work, and records they need is amazing for this too. In between the contractor has been here to measure the windows, and then the landlord came with the second visit when they looked at the windows on the house here. Contractor back again to measure for the porch that they want to put on this house. Sister had a birthday to celebrate which I seem to babysit her and her husband, and played taxi service for everyone. Hubby had a birthday just last week which he was able to be home for so that we could go out for supper, and enjoy a beautiful day:)

Then.....hubby got me a new car for our anniversary. Nice, shiny black, only had 11 miles on it when I left the lot, and 3 weeks later a deer hit me on the side of it. Tore out the mirror after his head slammed it into the window, his body flew against the side of the car and dented in the back passenger door and handle, he dented the back panel slightly, and then his foot hit the wheel. He flew around the back of the car, went down in the ditch, and headed into the field. I have been wondering....would our insurance consider this a hit and run you think?:) I will be asking them this next week....LOL:) I am not joking, but this is the 1st time in all my years of driving I have ever been hit with a deer. Usually it is hubby that has a problem, our daughter, or someone else....not me. So, my first time, and with our new car. I had a rental for a couple of weeks, but was soooo happy to get the new car back, and try to get use to it again.

Having a cup of joe has been helpful, a cappacino has been great when I get that, and it sure has been tempting with other drinks too....after the way things have been lately.

But, I am back, trying really really hard to get things all caught up again, and into a schedule of things again. Been doing a little thrifting, painting, gluing, repurposing, and different things like that when I have found the time.

Good Day to everyone, and Welcome to Chit Chat Coffee Shoppe! Love to have you here, and glad you visited. Sorry, again I have been behind with this particular page on my blog, but check out my other pages with thrifting, and second treasures. You will see I have been slowly working with those, adding some pictures, and sharing with everyone my treasures found lately. Also, a glimpse of completed projects I have been working with, or some that are a working progress too. 

I do hope everyone has had a very enjoyable summer. Most schools have started, or are soon starting...that time of year again. Labor Day will soon be here, and where is the time going? Seems like I have sooo much to do yet, and very little time. I have some painting I would like to accomplish yet before the weather changes, and hopefully I can get some of it done yet.

Good Morning, and WELCOME to Chit Chat Coffee Shoppe! Hope you got a good strong cup of joe in your hand, and ready for the day! Ummm....I have not been to bed yet, and if I don't get there soon, I might just look like that little guy above....yikes! That is scarey. 

We are now going into the weekend, and I hope all of you will be able to enjoy it with all you have planned, or intend to do. I never make plans anymore. Hubby gets home for 1-2 nights out of the weekend, and is gone again. Little while longer, and schedules will soon change again. That means winter is here at that time, or on it's way...urgh! I so do not like the snow anymore!

Anyway, maybe later today...Friday....I can sneak away for a bit, and get some thrifting done for a few pieces/items to work with. Got the glue, should get a little more paint and some primer, AND some mod podge too. Got some ideas for that use too. Anyway, visit my other blog pages from the top tabs when you can.
